What I Wore: Chambray + Denim

I finally got myself a chambray shirt this week! Now, I realize I jumped on this fashion bandwagon about two years after everyone else, but I was pretty proud of my trendy self. That is, until I realized the multitude of outfits I had pinned featuring this wardrobe staple almost all paired it with colored bottoms. I own zero pairs of cute, pastel-hued skinny jeans. I don't even have any black jeans.

So what's a girl to do but don double-denim?
What do you think… is it a fashion faux-pas or an acceptable substitute till I can invest in some colored bottoms?
Shirt, shoes: Old Navy
Jeans: Silver
Pin: Claire's

I have one true, kelly-green item of clothing, so of course I had to wear it for St. Patty's Day.
Cardi: Mod Cloth
Top: Boden
Jeans: Target

I love the drape of this Target cardi. It was tucked in the back of my closet, so when I found it, it was almost like finding new clothes. Maybe I'll start hiding things from myself more often, just for the thrill of finding them.
 Cardi, turtleneck, jeans: Target
Shoes: Born
Pin: The Pleated Poppy

The next two are just cozy, lazy-day outfits, but I think the pop of color in each made them feel a bit more fun and special.
Cardi: Old Navy

Scarf: Macy's

  1. I always love your outfits! you have the cutest pairings!

  2. I love how you draped your scarf!

  3. Hi, stopping by from the link-up. I am Ada. I always love finding Blogs of Real Moms like myself wearing Real Clothes. It is not about being fancy all the time. You look casual yet put-together with each outfit. I only purchased my first Chambray Shirt last Summer and now I have 5 LOL. They are all quite different from each-other though. I love wearing them with Jeans the most. I actually showed 6 ways I have worn them, earlier this month on a post. =)

Hope you stop by my blog as well and we can support one-another by following.

    Take Care, Ada. =)

  4. Love the outfits. You rocked the denim on denim.

I read and appreciate every one of your comments. Thank you so much for taking the time to let me know what you think.
